I have a volfenhag 2 channel 2000 watt amp problems?

...when hooked up to subs there is no bass amp is brand new i cannot figure out the prblem it could have been having i tinkered with it for like 2 hours and couldnt get any bass. anyone know what to do or how to get my subs thumping?? thanks
