Question:
First sub was "MTS Audio" rated 250w peak, and "Lightning sistems" rated at 750w
Answers:
Does anyone know of a url for a ford ka radio wiring diagram?
Your gain is too high - my guess. Distortion is what kills speakers. Power ratings are important, but if there is distortion, that means the speaker is not operating on-axis. The voice coil is moving in and out of the magnet slightly out of alignment. the voice coil will rub the magnet and the resulting friction will heat the sub almost instantly to several hundred degrees, causing the voice coil to warp so much it will "weld" itself to the magnet. You can run a high power amp into a low power sub if you know how. You can also run a low power amp into a high power sub if you know how. The key is eliminating distortion. Here's how to set the gain: 1) Turn your gain all the way down. 2) Turn your stereo up until you get distortion, then back it down just a bit - to clean sound. 3) Turn you gain up slowly until you hear distortion in the subs, then back it down just a bit - to clean sound. Always listen for the distortion.Anyone running a Kicker ZX750.1 or 1500.1?
You have a short somewhere, or you either have an insuffucient ground or possible low voltage. This could also be improper wire size (too small). Keep it up and you will be replacing the amp.make sure the speakers you are using are rated for the output in ohms of your amplifier.
It because you're driving the amp too hard causing it to clip and it's feeding DC (direct current) into the speakers which turns the voice coils into heaters causing instant death of your subs. Turn the volume down, or get a bigger amp which can more effectively handle the load of the speakers without clipping.
can ne 1 tell me a WOOFER for perfect blend of of sound quality?
Actually that's the easiest way to set the gain. The correct way is with an AC voltmeter and a 60HZ 0dB test tone. I have the full instructions on how to do this. E-mail me sparky3489@yahoo.com and I'll send them to you.Car Radio Interference when Rear Defrost is on...?
