CD player problems?

Question:
We hooked up my Rockford Fosgate in my car and went to turn on the radio, and when we switched to tuner, it showed the radio station we were on, but it was completely silent. The volume was turned up. and I went clear through my cd player setting to see if it was something i needed to change to make it work. After that, I took it out again to make sure everything was hooked up and I traced the wire that runs to the antenna to make sure it was hooked up and it was. Anyone have any ideas whats wrong here?

Im not sure this will help, but usually there is a screw on the top of the radio that must be removed prior to installation for the radio to function properly.
