Question:
i have a sony explod XMD9001GTR amp connected to 2 (12'') sony XS-L124PS5B capless subs in a scion tc with stock pioneer speakers. i plan to upgrade the speakers soon. what would you recommend as far as speakers as well as getting more bass out of the subs?
Answers:
I keep blowing amplifiers and i dont know why?
The gain control is used to match the signal volts RMS of the head unit to the amp. If set wrong, damage can result to the speakers (particularly subs). How much dyno mat would you need.?
Here is a guide to correctly set the gain control http://www.datafilehost.com/download.php...
You'll need Microsoft Excel, a multi-meter (AC volt meter) and a way to burn an audio CD from an MP3.

The GAIN is kinda like the Volume for your stereo just that it is use to set the limits that you want for your amp! Or total volume so once you crank your stereo the volume will not exceed that final loudness setting!
basically a volume control
id go with kicker or alpine speakers. they're loud and sound really good. sony subs dont give off much bass, so wut ur getting now is prob all ur gonna get. the only otehr thing is to get 2 amps with a higher wattage.
