3. Pull down the shift knob boot; unscrew and remove the shift knob.

If you are replacing a factory ford stereo, why would you pay twice (at least) the price for another ugly ford unit?!? Get a brand name changer from Pioneer, Sony, Panasonic that looks good, plays great, and doesn't have to be replaced regularly. Just a thought...BTW, large electronics stores usually have free installation if you buy from them.

i've never worked on a 05 mustang but i would guess there is a factory platic trim that needs to be removed first. You can normally pull the trim off with your hands. If not try a flat head screw driver. after the trim is off you will probably see some kind of fasteners ie screws or hex screws. Then it slides out from there.My MIDLAND 38 CB radio powers up but only works occationally, any ideas what's wrong with it.?
