If you are fitting a new stereo why not just by a wiring adaptor. They are only about a tenner, save loads of time and make sure you do not incorrectly wire up the system.
In general fords are black with green tracer to earth (black on most car radios) orange with black tracer permanent live (Yellow) and thin yellow with green tracer ignition (red)
