also if you have the money change the tube from the engine to the cat to a 2.5 inches
you will gain 10 to 15 horse power and the car will sound better
if you only change the mufles or pipe it will be a waste of money

Where is the best place to put my noise filter on my car system?
the muffler tip is generally what changes the sound of your car's exhaust. Getting something alot of people call a 'fart can' is probably what you're talking about. Exchanging your entire muffler system is expensive, and depending on how much power you're pushing already, a larger exhaust system is not going to help at all. Reason being is the engine loses it's backpressure. However it will also change the sound of your car. If you just want it to sound fast (what some people call "ricey") then a 2.5 to 3" muffler tip is all you need. different shapes will produce different sounds. My Honda 'rex was a straight pipe, with an oval muffler tip (it was just the pipe banged out into an oval shape) and it sounded pretty wicked... mind you my rex went from 0-200k in about 15 seconds, so what sounds fast, should be fast, right?Hifonics brutus amps r they woth buyin?
