RMS Power Handling: 400 watts
What is the best Amp for my 2 Audiobahn Subs?
And does it matter if they are single or dual voice coil?
Which is better?
Answers:
RMS is the values to look at and your amp at a 1 ohm load puts out 900 watts or 450 to each sub. which is only slightly higher than the RMS, so really they are a perfect match. your subs would all be wired in parrellel. and you would have a the 1600 watt peak rating on teh subs should be ignored, it really has no real meaning other than for marketing purposes. Single voice coil or dual really makes no differnece, the dual just tends to give a bit more installation options. its essentially like 4 subs. I assume with this kind of power to the sub you have a amp running your highs as well, which means you'll likely need a stiffining cap. and a upgraded alternator (depending on your vehical)
Which car sterio is best for Ford Ikon?
The answer is yes that amp can push those subs. The only problem you may run into is the amp is mono. Meaning it only has one channel. Typically you would run one channel per sub. All you have to do is connect both speakers to the output. What's your opinion on Rockford Fosgate subs?
The other single voice coil speakers have a strong and clear sound in a very specific frequency range (good for subs) dual voice coils allow for a larger frequency range with just as clear a sound (good for mids).
Good luck with the setup and if it comes out slightly distorted I would suggest a new two channel amp.
Connect both positives together, an both negativers together, that gives you 2 ohms and 450W into each sub.
