Question:
I resently bought a 2003 ford windstar sport model. it has a 6 disk cd staker built in to the deck and only 4 speakers in it 2 in the front doors and 2 in the rear sliding doors. when your watching a movie or listening to music it is very quite in the very back, i was thinking of installing 6x9s but im not sure if i can hook the amp up to the factory deck, the amp i have is a 2 channel 500 watt amp. is this posibile?

I need a 7 inch gps and navigation system with bluetooth technology and harddrive?
Yeah it can be done, but best to line level it. the Ford factory wiring can be cut, separated into your 4 different channels and fed to the amp.Are hifonics amps as good as the rockford fosgates bd series? HifonicsBX1600 V.S. BD1000?
If I remember, it's either 5x7 or 6x8s in the doors, but the stereo won't have a good oomph to play some of the aftermarkets at a reasonable quality IMO (Max I think is 20w per channel)
Kenwood KDC-MP205 or pioneer DEH-P3900MP?
You may have the rear speakers shut off.. it's a feature in some of the windstars with the DVD/VCR in them.. read the owners manual to make sure... I know if a DVD is playing , it will only play the front two speakers (on a factory install or Ford aftermarket install)
Sealed inclosure for idmax12.?
only if head unit has line level(RCA) outputs..Better of upgrading with aftermarket head unit..with removable face..so your greedy "friends" wont pinch it later. With low level inputs on the amp it is very easy. If not, you need to buy a low level convertor, speaker wire to RCA, that would do the trick.

That should do it, and for cheap might I add.
also 6x9's are a great choice for movies, good bass. Good luck.
How do i send signal from one mono amp to another?
You will have to pull the system out and check for rca inputs designated for this type of function attached to the back of the system. I doubt it will be there however. My wife owned a mercury villager which is basically ford everything, but with a nissan engine and her factory stereo which could be controlled from the rear of the van and had earphone jacks etc. when pulled did not have the proper setup for it, and yes by removing the factory stereo it will effect the entertainment system. That is just how ford set it up so that if something breaks you have to replace it with ford parts, or else it won't work properly. Thanks, again FORD!!!!!More Questions & Answers ...
