My sub hits down to 12hz. how do I achieve that low of a frequency if my amp is rated 20hz. and up?

Try Crutchfield. I just talked with one of the sales reps there regarding my car and he was very knowledgeable even about the special harness I would need to link it to my existing BOSE system without having to change my speakers at the same time.

if you go onto crutchfield there should be a icon that says what fits my car and then just fill out all that information and it will tell you what size speakers will fit

You can go to just about any autoparts store and buy an aftermarket dash kit to fit your car and there really easy to install yourself.
