Speaker has low volume and doesnt vibrate. blown?

Question:
i have a 5 and 1/4 speaker hooked up to an amp. it worked it one point and the sound was good. however now, it doesnt put out as much volume and it doesnt seem to vibrate at all. it still does play the music but it isnt loud or anywhere near where it was. i think it is blown.

What size speakers do I need for a 1997 Nissan Sentra?

any ideas? i have tried a 9v battery. no luck

Answers:

Sound System : Pioneer or JVC or Kenwood ?

Swap that speaker with the one on the other side. If the no bueno speaker becomes a good speaker when mounted to the other side then it's not the speaker that's blown.

Suggest an amp?

If that's the case, you may have a signal short in the speaker wire. That would have a variety of effects depending on your setup and hardware.

Sound system for my car?

if it makes a crackling sound then it's blown if not it could be your wire connection
