How do I connect my IPOD shuffle with my Sony Explode car stereo?
Sorry, but you get less efficency out of an isobaric enclosure. Basically your two subs are functioning as one. This set-up reduces efficency by 50%. The positive of this type of isobaric is reducing enclosure size by 50%. If I were you and had the room, I would go with a straight seald or ported enclosure. You would probably gain about 6dB, but have twice the enclosure size.is a hifonics brutus bxi1206d 1-ohm stable?
i think you mean isobaric. if the enclosure is designed properly, you can get more efficient performance from the same woofer in a isobaric, than in a sealed or ported enclosure, if there is an isometric way to mount a sub please let us know.WHAT DO U MEAN CLOSED OR OPEN?

Andrews right.Andrew is right. Isobaric designs are good for aestetic purposes and that's about it... and to be honest, they arent even worth that unless you are trying to relive the 1990's car audio scene!
Can anyone give me advice on what subwoofer encloser to purchase?
The logic behind the Iso enclosure is that, as stated, two subs work as one. This decreases the efficiency by 50% or so b/c it's synonomous with just one speaker. It works on a "push pull" concept in which one woofer goes outward as one goes inward. To accomplish this, one woofer is wired normally and the second is wired reversed polarity (meaning the positive wire goes to the negative terminal and negative wire goes to the positive terminal).

Again, I wouldnt recommend this design as it's really pointless unless you are trying to be different. But if that's the case, just wear a funny hat as it will be as efficient! Or you can do the math to do a transmission-line enclosure or 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th order bandpass enclosure tuned for the woofer. More difficult than the hat but you would get significantly more output than an Isobaric design.
Hopes this helps some.
