Take it to a professional car audio installer. Since you already have the head unit and the install kit, it won't cost much money to get it installed. You will save yourself a big headache by doing this because Tauruses are a big pain. How do you install a car radio for a 87 Jeep?

What's the best brand of car audio players??
By install kit, is it a wiring harness or a sleeve that you put the stereo into? If you don't have a wiring harness, you'll need one of those. It'll make your life a whole lot easier. Also get yourself a wire stripper/crimper and some pigtail (or butt) connectors. And if you really want a professional look, get some zipties to tie it all together once your done.
2 15" Kicker L7 vs.. 1 15" RE Audio XXX?
OK Here we go:
First you'll obviously need to remove the factory stereo. For fords, they have four holes on each side of the radio. The best remedy for this is to get a wire clothes hanger, cut it into two pieces and bend it into a U shape. These will insert into the holes and the radio should pop right out. You'll see once you get going.

next unplug the factory harness from the back of the radio and the antenna as well. now it's out, easy enough!
Can I use 150W RMS subs with a 200W RMS amp?
Now, with the wire harness you bought, take that inside and use your wire stripper/crimper and your connectors to connect those wires to the ones that came with your new head unit. usually, colors will match but if you aren't sure, there are diagrams that came with both harness. so now after you have the wires connected you will have one whole harness! That was the hard part.
Next, take your head unit and connect the back of the new wire harness to the back of the new head unit (the smaller end) and the other end of the harness to the factory harness in the car. connect your antenna. Turn it on to make sure it powers up and put in a cd to make sure you connected everything properly. If it powers on and you can hear music You're good to go!! If not, then make sure all the wires are connect properly and that the car's accesories are turned on too.
