How do i fix the amp 4 channel if it says protection?

Question:
is there some sort of reset button, i have a BOSS amp its a 4 channel, and my speaker are not working, i guessing that it is the amp, the protection light is on, and not the power light, how do i fix it or what is the problem

First and foremost you probably have a wire touching another. Check you power and ground to make sure that they are not touching at the amp or before. Then check to make sure your remote wire is not touching either. If you haven't found it after trying this you should check the fuses for the amp.

Protection usually means some things shorted. first trouble shoot speakers. Take a meter put on Pos and neg then test for conanuity . if not speakers then tst if 12 volts is on pos. remote has 12 volts from acc. your ground is secure

check all ur wires, somethign may have come loose and is touching causing ur amp to go into protection. dont just check the amp wires, check ur wires that run to ur subs and speakers.
