put your fingers were you put the tape & pull it out IF it dosn't want to budge you'll probably need the stereo pins what fit either side of the stereo, they are little holes in the corner. as it's a tape player in your car i take it it's pretty old so you might not have the pins (usually with the owners hand book, glovey). I have fitted lots of stereos & used a metal coat hanger, bend & cut the coat hanger into two U shape's & put both into the holes & pull out the stereo. if your new stereo dosn't plug straight in or fit the old plug then go to your locol car hi-fi shop & buy an adaptor for it to fit, you might even need to buy an adaptor for the arial too. : )

It might get difficult though. The modern cars have radios and tape players fitted so that they cannot be removed without a great deal of fuss. In fact, in my car, the majority of the front facia has to be removed first. Ask an expert, a thief perhaps?
