Answers:
Typically, you want to put the cap as close to the amp as possible with the ground wire total length being as short as possible. Place the various items in the trunk to get an idea of where they will go before you wire anything up.
What does 75W/150 RMS/peak handling mean in speakers?
To get the best sound from your subs, the best place to set your box is as far back in the trunk as you can facing the REAR of the car. You should put them in one box (for space and convenience) and you can mount the amp on the box. You should also have mounting brackets for you cap so those could go on the box too.Where is the CD player in a 05 Mercedes ML500?
SUBS--one other option (if you have a little cash to spare) just place both your subs in one box. it will save you more space to decongest your trunk. i place mine fully inside the trunk facing out towards the rear. some people would say it would sound louder that way than facing in. but it doesnt sound different to me. but the car vibrations when thumping are less when it faces out. What format do i need when you burn a cd for the audio rd1 in the peugeot 206?
CAPACITOR--you can screw the capacitor holder at the side of your box. some poeple would find it cooler. i just hide the wiring kit under the trunk floor or anywhere. (wiring is not nice to see)
What will be agood amp to push 2 12" polkaudio momo 400 watts each?
AMP---i made a custom amp rack which i place on the side of my trunk and put my #1 amp(for separates) back to back with my crossover. my sub amp (2400W) i screw on top of my boombox. (if your's still have space.) dont place them on your rear dashboard...the window will generate extra heat. or you can just hide them under the driver/front passenger seat.
