Question:
i am planning on using the wires coming out of my cd player then running them through an amp then to my speakers. would i be better off doing this or using the rca jacks on the back. i want pretty good sound quality but i would really like to use the power of my cd player to. my deck is a pioneer deh-680mp. If you want to power your speakers with an amp then using the low level inputs (speaker wire) or the rca wouldn't make a difference (i've done both). I would say use the low level inputs.
What size wires do you plan to use? Personally, I would use the rca jacks and ensure you have adequate wires to and from the amp. Too little wires can cause poor sound quality, as can too large. It sounds like you want to use stock wires, I would run new...better sound quality.

normally i would say use the RCA, then you know you have a decent sized cable transfering the music signal to the amp, but if your headunit didnt cost more than £150 it won't really matter whether you use RCA or your normal speaker wireI have 2 MX Autotek subs putting in my sons box but these subs have 2 sets of connects on each sub??
just make sure your power and speaker cables are a good thickness. Will make a huge differance in quality in its self

It actually does matter because of the amount of power the amp will want to draw through those wires. I actually fried the regular speaker outs doing that way you shoul always use the pre-outs that what they're made forNeed a wiring diagram for 2 ohm output for solor baric 10" L5?

in my experience, and my opinion, use the rca inputs, the volume doesnt adjust the same way with high level inputs hope this helpsMore Questions & Answers ...
