Can you hook an amp and subs up to a stock tape player/ tuner in a 1994 Lincoln Continental?
Theres going to be signifigant costs, but sure, it can be done.Your going to need an amplifier, a preamp, and rca spliter.
Powered computer speakers have around 12 watts. so what would be the point of putting some nice stereo speakers on it? you would get better sound from a cd clock radio.
Your going to need the rca splitter to get your sound output to the preamp. The preamp is then going to take the signal, change the ohms, and send it to the amp.
Save yourself a few hundred and just buy a new amplified sound card.
Is there a car CD adapter to play cassettes, same way how CDs are played in car cassette player?
Radio Shack and others have an adapter that will adapt from a miniature stereo plug to 2 - RCA plugs. Use this in the "LINE OUT" from your sound card. Use a pair of cables to connect to an AUX IN on your stereo. Let your stereo power your speakers. A computer does not have power available to power regular stereo speakers.lol yup yup i got a 10'' hooked to mine.. i have regular computer speakers but one of them got cut "my lil brother cut it" so i decided to try it out.. it gets its power from the main speaker.. hooked up to the outlet.. its loud but not as loud as in a car.. thats because i dont have a car battery and an amp hooked up but its still enough to rattle
