Can you run two seperate cb radio antennas next to each other?

Would it be possible to hook up 2 seperate cb radios each with its own antenna in the same car?

I have seen it done (back in the 70's-80's), they were separated at opposite ends of the rear bumper or pickup truck cab.

I think these days FRS is a better way to go for car-to-car outside of cell service areas due to digital signal and 5 mile range, and cellular is the better way to go where available. I didn't know people still used CB.
