well, the 1.5 ratio is actually pretty good.. i like to keep my SWR under 2. but with the coupler hitting a flat zero, you can't get any better than that.

your best bet would be just to run the antenna and antenna only. if you want your standing wave to drop any, go out to your antenna, loosen the hex bolt and slide the whip out almost to the end and tighten it back down.
