hi. i have question about putting a capacitor .
i recently installed dual 800w sub with 1000w amp and my headlights dims..slightly in mid high volume
so i decide putting Power Acoustik 1.2-Farad Capacitor . . but someone saying that capacitor isn't good choice, . said alternator need to be upgrade.. please advise me for fix my problem..is capacitor really not helping at all?

I had the same problem. I brought the same Power Acoustik capacitor, and it actually killed my battery with one 1000w amp connected , so i took it off. Due to my battery dying, i ended up buying a stronger battery (duralast gold) 3 year warrenty. No problems since and im know running 2 amps. Amp gained power, as to where i would normally run my subs on 8 or 9 volume, i know run them on 3 and sometimes the power is to much. Also upgrade your amps main power and negative wire. Most of the time, that will help.how do i get a cd that is stuck in my car radio?

well nothing really helps to stop mild headlamp dimming to stop it you would have to put in a second altenator and battery and have your amp isolated from the original electrical systemso long story short a cap may help bass response "kinda"
a new altenator will last longer and can handle the abuse "for a lot of money"
