My stereo in my Tahoe was stolen and I just recieved the insurance check in the mail. Well actually, the amp and cd player were stolen but the sub was too heavy to carry so they cut it up. Anyway, I plan on getting the 2006 kicker zx750.1 amplifier that claims 750 watts of rms at 2 ohms. The subwoofer is the 2206 kicker solobaric 12L7 that claims 1500 peak and 750 watts rms. This subis 12" and has dual voice coils and is offered in 2 or 4 ohms.
Which sub (2 or 4 ohm) is better compatible with this amp and why?
How many watts will i be continously running?
Whats the best way to wire it?

If you only have a single sub, you will need to get the dual 4ohm sub. A dual 4ohm can be wired for a 2ohm load or a 8 ohm load. Wire the sub in parallel for a 2ohm load. The kicker amp is 750watts at 2ohms stable, so that is what you will be running RMS. ive heard that the L7 hooked up to the 750 works great. and get the 2 ohm cuz thats wut the amp is rated at. always match your ohms and wattage the best u can. it should sound great.
