Is there away of connecting exisiting speakers to an amplifier without cutting existing wires?

Question:

I have a question about my car stereo system.?

use Scotch blocks, small blue connectors you guillotine across an existing cable and a new one at the same time. you must disconnect 1st amp first or you will have big trouble.
if you put another speaker on the same line you must make sure the amp can take it. an amp putting out 4 ohms will be halved to 2 ohms and one more speaker added would take it to 1 ohm, most amps on the market only go down to 2 ohms before they burn out,
