To answer your question.don't bother checking or asking for a release date from the website, cause they won't disclose that info. I'm too, am planning on purchasing this deck also, and when I e-mailed customer support they told me near future. I've searched some other sites, and it looks like the 502 model is part of 2007 lineup...so sometime this year.
