What should I do (add a cap or let it run off the battery)?

Question:
I have recently purchased a MTX 12 "hammer" Sub 400 rms, infinity four channel amp, and a rockford mono 340 rms amp. I was wondering would I need a cap for it or should i let the amps run off the regular car battery since it's not that much power. I once had a much larger system (2 15 inch subs and two amps and a 1.0 cap) that needed a cap with all the power the sub needed. I also was wondering do you think i would blow the sub if its rms is higher than that of the sub.

Turn your gain to a higher number to prevent the more powerful amp from blowing the sub.
