Does anyone have any general optimum settings for tuning a car audio system with subwoofers such as the best settings for cut off frequencies, output levels, low pass filters and even the high pass filters for the rest of the speakers? thanks.

it all depends on the vehicle and the stereo system, your best bet is to go somewhere that someone has a mic to set up at the dashboard and measure the decibles, and then fine tune from there
Does a subwoofer box really need a hole in it to breathe? inorder to perform better?
