I have a Sony Xplod 1400 watt Mono Amp (600 watt RMS @ 2 ohms), 2 Kicker Comp VR CVR12-2 12" 800 watt competition VR series dual voice coil 2 ohm car subwoofers (400 watts RMS), 1.5 Farad Digital Capacitor, Fosgate 800 watt Amp wiring kit...Everything was installed from my local bestbuy store, currenetly i have my bass and sub settings at -3 on my deck...if i try n turn that up to say even at 0 and turn up the volume i can only go alittle under 3/4 and the amp kicks out and i have to shut the deck off n back on again to get the amp running again.now i would love to be able to jack it up as high as poss without it kicking off on me, its becoming a pain in the **** if u get my drift lol..any ideas on how to correct this issue would be great.thanks in advance for the answers :)

There are only a couple of way to correctly set the gain on the amp and the above is NOT it.Why is 1 out of 4 of my car stereo speakers smoking?

your maxing the amp out and its just to much for it ....go with a bigger amp or turn the amp down.peacetry turning down the amp..not at the heat unit.. the actual amp. That way you can turn it up so the high's scream and the bass is right there too.

The amp turns off for safety reasons, but try that and see where you can run those where you want it.

sounds like your amps gain/level setting is too high, make sure its no higher then 60-65%and is your amp going into protect
btw get rid of the cap it isnt doing you any good
