Can't turn off demo mode on my Kenwood KDC-4037.?

Question:
Manual says press & hold cntrl knob-select demo off-but it only says clock or synch off.

Blowing subs?

Switch set into standby mode,then press the menu button for 2 seconds,scroll through the menu to demo on then press the cntrl knob for 2 seconds,the display then changes to demo off

have you got a menu button on yours?
on my kenwood you hold that in for like 2 seconds and then it will come up with a massive list of options. on eof which as far as i can rmemeber is an option to turn the demo on and off
