To determine the internal volume or airspace in your box, measure the area you want to put it in and make a drawing of your box with dimensions.

Most boxes are made out of 3/4" material so deduct 3/4" from all of your measurements then multiply the length x width x height and divide that number by 1728 and you will have the internal cubic airspace of your box.

If you have an angled box, break it down into 2 parts, the rectangle and the "triangle" that's left. For the rectangle use the formula as above. For the triangle, complete the drawing of your triangle into a square or rectangle then do the formula above and then divide by 1/2 and that will give you the airspace of the angled section of your box.
