Should I use a Ported or Sealed box for a 13W7 in a Hatchback Honda Civic?

Should I use a ported box tuned at 30hz or a sealed box to sound better?

Connect a JVC stereo in an old car?

I would say if you want sound quality and not super loud bass than go with the sealed box. If you want super loud and competition style than go with the ported. Everyone I know that is in the custom installation business now uses ported enclosures and say they get louder. So, when you say "sound better" I would say, everyone has different tastes in sound. If you want to be heard a few blocks away though, get the ported.

At low volumes, how do i get nice booming bass?

on the jl audio tutorial site jl recommends a ported box
i have remove 2 10 jl from a seal box and install them in a 3.cf box with a 25sq inc of port and they sound a lod better and louder

You will get more output from a ported box.Just make sure you go with a square port, square ports don't make as much noise as the round ports do. You will get more output from square ports too. If you wan't optimum sound quality go with a sealed enclosure. W7's sound excellent in a sealed box, but not as loud as a ported box.
