Question:
Hey I have an 03 hyundai elantra, i bought an aftermarket cd player for it and i also bought a metra wire harness too. The problem is that the wire harness that came w/ the cd player is copper wire and the metra wire harness is aluminum wire. Can i splice these 2 together still? Also i bought some wire nuts from home depot and they say on the label not to splice aluminum to copper...this warning is to be taken seriously i assume? Thanks! I appreciate any help i can get!

CD player problems..?
Yes, you can splice the two wires together but I doubt that there's such a thing as aluminum wire, it's probably going to be copper wire that has been tinned with solder. You should, how ever, be able to splice, or solder the wires together if you choose, but if you haven't cut off the original harness from the vehicle already, I would recommend for you to spend a few extra dollars on a harness adapter to connect your aftermarket CD player to your car. It saves a lot of time. If you buy this harness, all you would need to do is solder it with the harness that came with your CD player, and it will be so much easier, since all the wires are the same color, then you just need to plug it is, and you're ready to go. if you already cut the original harness, you could go to installdr.com, look up the car manufacturer, and try to figure out which wire goes where.
Will my 12" sub sound? good if i let it hang sideways behind the backseat?

I wanna put a DJ mixer in my car boot. Tips?
IN THIS CASE YES YOU CAN DO IT BECAUSE IT IS ONLY A RADIO if you try to pull more than 5 ams on this wires it is a very bad idea houses use aluminum wires back in the 50 and late 60's
and there was a lot of houses getting on fire
aluminum wires get hot and for the past 2 years the copper wire is been going up in price evey single day so they are mixing copper and aluminum to save money that harnnes that you have is not the best but in your case it is ok
