How do I get my mp3 player to play through my car speakers? '07 Eclipse?

Question:
I have a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I can't figure out how to play my mp3 player (not an ipod) through my car speakers. The stereo has an aux. option (Rockford Fosgate Stereo) I've tried 3 different FM transmitters and they all suck (belkin, monster, etc). Does any one know where the aux. input is located or if it even has one? I called Rockford Fosgate they said it is in the back but no one makes a harness for it and it might take them up to 1 &1/2 years to make one! What sense does that make? Any suggestions?

The aux. input looks like a small headphone jack. You can purchase several options to adapt your MP3 player. If it's not an Ipod, your choices are a little more limited, best thing to do, get a cable with a headphone jack (male) on each end. Plug one into the MP3 player, and one into the stereo aux input. Check your owner's manual for location of aux. input. Best Buy and other popular music stores can help you find what you're looking for. Depending on what you get, they can install for free. You could spring for a $100 deck, get free installation, plus parts, and also have them do something for your MP3 player. If you already have an aftermarket stereo, consult the manual (online or paper included with product) of the stereo you purchased for location of aux. input. RockfordFosgate sometimes gets ahead of themselves, but most aux. inputs are still basically a headphone jack that works in reverse. Safety tip: learn the controls of your MP3 player, listen to a few seconds of a song to find what you want to listen to, or just put it on random, and put the MP3 player in a cup holder or similar that will keep it in place. This reduces many distractions which can cause you to cause an accident, and, at minimum, triple your insurance premiums.
