Question:
I have an s-10 ext. cab and i want a box facing towards the back of my truck. I cant find a hatchback box that is ported. I can only find sealed ones. So would you go with a sealed hatchback box. Or can i find a ported hatchback box somewhere. I have 2 subs one is a 15" rf power hx2 (2000 max watt and 1000 rms watt) and the other is a rf team (4000 max watt and 2000 rms watt)

What color wire is the one used for memory on an aftermarket car stereo?
It really depends on what type of sound you are looking for. Personally I think that a seald box sounds better than a ported one when you only have a small space (like a truck cab) to put the box in. A 15" woofer will need quite a bit of airspace to sound "in tune" with a ported box.If I was doing it I would get a sealed box and deaden (stuff it) it as much as possible with cotton or spongey foam on the inside. This way you will fool the speaker into thinking that it has more airspace than it actually has. You will need to give it more power to get the the woofer pumping but it will be a nice tight, strong Bass instead of boomy hollow bass.
With a 15"RF in a cab like that it will be more than enough to rattle your fillings loose but still sound good while doing it.
Oh yeah and you also should buy Dynamat to stick on the inside of the rear of your cab where the speakers are fireing at or else the sheetmetal will want to vibrate and buzz.
My speakers on driver side stop working then start again later?
its best not to use sealed box becausethe 15s will eventualy mess up the box the air preasure being created inside will have no where to go so it will either mess up the box or mess up the speaker its still up to uOkay i dont get the whole ohms thing and how it works subs and amps?
DONT GO SEALED OR PORTED go Vented a vented box with 2 15 inch subs will get u outtstanding bass u will gett the best of both worlds sealed and ported GO WITH A VENTED BOX YOU CAN Thank me laterMore Questions & Answers ...
