How do I control my ipod menu on my touchscreen monitor in my car?

Question:
I have a Dual XDVD8181 7" touch screen unit, and i want to plug in my ipod (away in the glovebox) and be able to control the ipod menu from my touch screen. The unit came with an "Iplug" unit for ipods, but it is just an rca connection and i still have to control my ipod menu from my ipod. Is there an aftermarket adapter that will allow me to do this?

Dual does not have a direct connection for the iPod to fit the 8181. the only way to connect is via the iPlug. Dual has just come out with a usb connection for its radios but it is not compatible with the 8181. sorry

Unless Dual has an ipod interface available, your out of luck.
Dual is not a name brand so I doubt it.
JVC,Alpine,Pioneer,etc. have ipod contollers available for many of their models. This will allow full control of the ipod and will charge it as well. They also eliminate the hokey audio connections that lesser models have.
They run about $50 or so.
Crutchfield may have a universal controller available.
I've seen one by the brand USASPEC but I'm not not sure how it works.
