if you are serious using them for spl comp purposes here are a few to give a look at . the kicker sl7 12, the kicker solo x12, the hifonics goliath xx series , the MA audio hk series , earthquake ,and atomic loudspeakers.
But I per fer the american bass vfl 12 just because of the customer service you get with them. I have also seen alot of guys having some success lately with audiopipe and resonant engineering (RE) , The best thing to do is go to your next local competition and watch and ask questions.

Most Def R.F. I have had 2 older style Punch 12 in Subs and there toataly blow , but to my amazment most times I can adjust the bass so its real loud. R.F. had the best old school subs. now adays there just realy expencive. Hope this helped! Peace
