Kicker L7 in a ported/vented box or sealed box?

Question:
I am looking for ALOT OF BASS! I have my two 12 inch L7's in a sealed box but people say if I want them to be loud and get more bass I should put them in a sealed/ported box. I need to know from you guys or gals what I should do?

I would definitely go with a ported box, I have heard alot of systems and the ones that I found were louder were the ported boxes. I have heard one L7 in a sealed box, and one in a ported, huge difference, definitely the ported.

If you want hard thumping bass keep it sealed, if you want long drawn out deep bass port it.

If you want a tight punchy bass (rock and jazz), put it in a sealed box. If you want loud boomy bass (like rap and hiphop) then i would go with a Bandpass box. Ported boxes are somewhere in the middle.
