The most expected best way to find out is to go to the dealer. Sometimes that wont give an answer though and you may not know until you take it apart and look yourself. Some vehicles have radios that on the surface look the same but mount differently. What is the year model of your vehicle? during the 90's, Ford's came with a single DIN radio that snapped into place and had to use "keys" to pull out. The chassis for each radio is the same and in many cases, the plugs are the same. However, if you are taking this out of a luxary sedan (i.e. the Lincoln), it may have had a factory amplifier in it. That means it wont work in your truck b/c Ford does not put in amps in their pickups. The radio wont have any power of it's own to push the trucks speakers.

It depends on what Car or Truck manufacturer made your truck. For example, I had 2 caddy's that were diffrent models and year with 2 diffrent radios, but since they are both GM, the connections still fit. So find the diffrent models of your trucks Manufacturer and find one within a close range of your year model, and depending on your Manufacturer (GM, Ford, Dodge/Chrysler, and so on) hopefuly they'll fit.More Questions & Answers ...
