You don't need a professional to connect a stereo in a car. For a stereo to work, you need power, ground, speakers and a audio source. Also, the stereo should also be working. Start by mounting it and connecting up power, ground and speakers. When you turn it on, does it light up? If so you have power. What is the source? Radio, cd? Do you have the mute on? Make sure it is trying to play something. Then tune your fader and balance controls and volume. DO you know how to work the thing? Make sure the speakers are good. Disconnect them and hook them to a flash light battery. You should hear static when you touch the speaker wires to the battery. If you do everything above and your stereo is good, you will hear sound. Is there really a difference with Speaker Wire?
u should let a professional install it then, but make sure u have all the wires connected in the right place/ground wiresCan i bridge a cd decks power wires?
Make sure this car is not equipped with a factory amplifier (if it is ),you need to bypass it. there are jumpers made for this problem , if this is not the case check your wiring very carefully . if you still can't rectify the problem take it to a shop and see if they can help you .More Questions & Answers ...
