If you try to wire them at 1 ohm you can fry your amp, because it is not stable at that level.

Radio Meomory Problem?

The reason is because they are 4ohm DVC subs.
those subs can only be wired to draw a 1 or 4 ohm load from the amp. they cannot get 2 ohms.

The closer you can get to that wattage the better.

Does anyone have links to custom Ford Taurus interiors?

the way to figure this out is to see how much "continued" wattage your speakers use. For instance, i have two DUAL 12" woofers in my car, their peak is like 3000watts, but their continued wattage is 1500watts, so you would get a 1500watt amp, not a 3000watt amp. Also get a two channel amp, not a 4channel cause those are mostly made for your speakers not woofers.
OVERVIEW
check continued wattage on woofers and match with amp continued wattage
get 2channel not 4 channel amp

PS, check the ohms on the amp. A lot of amps will have different continued wattage for different ohms, mostly wanna stay around 2-4 ohms as your high point. Hope this helped a lot.
