No it has to be plugged into your cigarette light to have power, the cassette just enables the player to work through your speakers.

installing a amp/speaker?

The cassette adapter is only a way of transferring the audio (sound) to your speakers. You still need to get power to the Roady and that is usually done through the cigarette lighter, but here is another option.

This lets you use power directly from any electrical source from your car. Although, this should probably be done by someone that is familiar with cars and electrical systems.

what is the wiring for the factory radio in my 1993 acclaim?

Yes, you'll need to plug your sat. radio into a cigarette lighter to work. No electricity will be provided through the cassette adapter. As a warning though...I "tried" to be smart with mine and cut off the cigarette lighter part and hard wired it into my vehicle behind the dash to try and make it look clean. I didn't realize that those radios are like 3.5 volts (or something like that) and my 12 volt system fried it. The cigarette lighter part of it has the stuff needed to step it down. As a suggestion...go to walmart, or some place similar, and get a splitter for your cigarette lighter. Then you can hook that into the wiring behind/under your dash, plug your radio into that, and you'll have a clean look that won't fry your unit the first time you cut it on.

What is the best sound deadener for my car?

As long as you leave the little black box intact you could attach a wire to the outside metal. run that to your negative on ur cars electrical system or you could run it direct to your batery. and attach another wire to the center conecter on the cigerate adapter. its the metal poit at the end. and do the same as the negative acept to the postive. This is the cheapest alternative. Rather than buying a new cigerate lighter.

SEAT Ibiza aerial?

You do need power input from the car, but not necessarily thru the lighter/outlet. It is possible to hardwire a connection behind the dash to power the sat radio.
