Question:
I have the tendency to listen to music loud. Lately the speaker on my door (driver's side) has been crackling and vibrating. I still here music from the speaker but the crackling is annoying. Is it on the verge of being blown out? Or is there a way I can fix this.
Where can I find a remote for Jensen VR185 radio?
Thank you.
Answers:
I would say that the speaker is blown. However check the speaker's connections,a grounding power wire may cause crackling also.
Cd Player for my 1993 Lincoln town car?
sounds like either you've broken part of your speaker, or the output channel is damaged. What the rms on a crossfire vr1000 amp and what would you prefer a crossfire vr1000 or jl 1000/1?
no fixin it its done go get another oneYah, by the sound of it, it seems blown out. If your speakers are really old too that may have caused them to do this too. You should get a new one.
What steps do i need to take to replace the radio in my ford F 150?

Yeah, one way to check it is to take it out and drop it onto a hard surface. Only a couple inches up, NOT a foot or something! You will hear the voice coil shake around. Its blown if it is clinking. If not, your good to go. But I would replace it anyways. You could smell it, if its voicecoil is burnt out. If you replace it you might as well replace all of them. You can get it all for about the same price as two if you get it on ebay, rather than the stores. Just look around. But if its flubbery and all crackling, its blown.More Questions & Answers ...
