How do u remove a tape player in an astra 2002?

Question:
its the bankput one, has two small holes either side, but wont move, any one know where i can get that removed and my new one put in cheap, though of halfords, but they want £40 for doing it

Need help wit an amp..?

Are you in the UK ? if yes go to halfords buy a head unit puller two twin pin bits of metal, for £3 and push them into the wholes and push the bits of metal out away from each other(this will push back the clip holding the tape player in) and then pull head unit should pop out, if your broke use a hanger as other people said but be careful not to make them to long as Ive done this once and touched a wire and blow all the fuses once all thats done there should be a smart plug(multi wire thing) just unclip it and clip in your new one if you got a diffrent make head unit you may need to buy a new smart pug for £12 that fits your car(if you have a black head unit then you will need a 2.5mm allen key to remove the screws blocking the holes)

i believe that where these 4 holes are you need to remove a grub screw with an alen key and cut a metal coat hangger so you have two u shaped bits of metal stick them in the holes and you should be able to pull out the radio

You will need a small allen key because the small holes you mention have an allen screw blocking the holes, then if you haven't got the stereo pins bend and cut a metal coat hanger and push the pieces into the holes until they click and won't go any further, now you should be able to pull and the radio, unplug the 2 plugs at the back and the new stereo if universal should plug straight in.
