Question:
My setup goes like this:
(All installed only a month ago)
Headunit
A pair of seperates. Midass is in the door. Tweeters on the dash.
Can a sub enclosure be made out of tempered glass 15mm thick? Will the glass affect sound quality?
My left midbass speaker at some songs when the volume is turned up 40%-50%...you can hear heavy distortion. While my right speaker has no distortion at all. So i thought it might just be my door rattling. SO i opened up my door panel, and i removed the speaker..but wires still attached. I turned up the volume..during that bass part of the song distorts loud. kinda like a fart. The right side is still ok. So i check to see if maybe wires were touching the cone. NOthing. But when I turn down the bass..it plays fine. Its just my left side speaker.

What website can I go to for finding what speakers fit for a 99 cougar?
Polarity is not the problem, period! It could possibly be a defective speaker. To check if it is the speaker, switch the speaker to the other side of the amp/hu. If the problem still exists in that speaker, you have trouble with that speaker. If the sound disappears, the problem is with the audio signal from the amp/hu. Check all of the connections "upstream" from the speaker. Since you state that the oddity comes on certain frequencies at particular volume levels, I would guess it is 90% likely the problem is in your speaker
How do i run two amps.at the same time?
When the speaker verified as the problem, there are a couple of measures you can take to rectify the problem. Basically the voice coil gap may be uneven on either side, causing the coil to scrape on the magnet. This could be from a manufacture defect, twisted basket, shortened wire which connects to the coil. The only possible problem you can resolve is the shortened lead. Push the cone all the way out to it's maximum excursion, then look to see if the wire which connects to the cone is limiting the travel of the cone. Then push the cone all the way down, and check that way also.

Otherwise, it is probably a lost cause. Unless you can see the basket twisted, maybe you can bend it back into shape. Since your equipment is only 1 month old, I would take it back to where you bought the speakers and demand a warranty replacement for a defective speaker.

problem is the speaker is defectiveOpinions regarding a subwoffer choice for my Jeep Wrangler.?
Check your left and right balance. If that's ok,then your speakers blown. Inspect the cone and the seal around the frontWhat Sub woofer should i buy to match best with my amp.?
Check Left and Right balance. Also did you use the same wire going to both, ex 12 guage on left and 20 guage on right visa vercia. Try to swap out the speakers right in left side left in rigght side, if the right distorts now its the speaker if the left still distorts its your door. It's one of three things.
1. Left side of amp has problems.
2. Cross wired. I.E. Polarization is crossed. (Possibly blowing
the amp.
3. Speaker is shot.
1988 honda accord, i need the radio wires color chart for the radio?
Here's a simple test.
Check to make sure the polarization is correct. If not correct and test the sound again. If it cleared up then your problem is solved. If it was crossed and still distorted, you've probably blown the left side of your amp.
Does anyone know of any really high end custum car stereo places in the Los Angeles area?
At the output to the amp. Switch left to right and right to left speakers. If the distortion stays on the left, then your speaker is shot. If the distortion changes to the right, then your amp is shot.
