Sub and amp bridge good or bad?

Question:
i have a amp and 2 subs. I was going to bridge the subs so it would be (460 X 1 @4 homs).

Does anyone know where i can get my speakers hooked up in my car for cheap, in san diego?

I have hurd that if you bridge subs it decreases the quality. if so how much? is it worth it not to bridge them? is it noticable? should i or should i not bridge my subs?

also if i use this congif 460 x 1 @ 4 ohms the 460 will cut in half automatically so that each sub gets 230 watts right?

Since you have two 4 ohm subs if you bridge these subs together your amp will drob to a 2 ohm load. If your amp is 2 ohm stable this will work fine, but I think you are better running each sub off each channel so each sub is in a 4 ohm load. Amplifiers run the best in a 4 ohm load, However you do get more power out of an amp when its in 2 ohm operation but this causes your amp to do more work and it will heat up faster, more heat less efficeint your amp will run.
