Question:
I want good speakers in my car but I don't have alot of expendable income I plan to add an amp to the speakers after i get them and some more money. Please tell me why you chose what you did so I can make and educated decision. I was thinking about getting some 320 watt sonys and 270W sonys but I've read bad things about things about these speakers. So any help would be great.

Sub question, if i hook up my vc in parallel to get 1 ohms how does that effect my rms amp watts?
My advice to you is to just buy what you can afford.Speaker sound quality is always subjective. And it really depends on how they are abused as to how well they perform.
Can a cd deck be installed in a 96 saturn sl2? Could BestBuys do it?
And guess what? Eventually any speaker you buy is going to end up in the trash or in somebody's junk yard. So buy what you can afford and enjoy what you buy.
pioneer has some really good ones in that price range,i bought a set of them at wal-mart and so far they have done really good , i got them in a Nissan sentra, and they sound ok,good luck,i hope this help,s.
Only suggestion I can give you, is you need to listen to the speakers yourself, and make your own decision on what you like to hear. I've tried the expensive ones, mid range cost, and the cheapies. Tell you the truth, in my experience with car audio and building many stereo's for competition, you don't have to have the best to sound the best. I've personnally used very cheap bought speakers from a flea market, amped them, changed their pitch with a passive or active EQ, including crossing them over with an active, not passive crossover, and have had success with the sound out of them. The reason I never use passive, unless absolutely necessary, is passive crossovers, use a percentage of your amps power that your speakers will never see. An active crossover, uses your 12v system to power it, and does not take away as much power as a passive crossover will. This allows the speaker to get the amount of power it needs to support the higher pitched frequencies that the highs need. Good luck!
Has anyone ever dealt with autotoys.com?
www.sonicelectronix.com, their prices are reasonable and they deliver fast. I have used them for most of my car audio needs.Don't look at the wattage rating as the final template for your sound system. I would be also looking at signal to noise ratio, frequency response (look at the response curve too for too much drop off in transient response) Also look at compatibility as it makes no sense to buy speakers that don't fit.
Check the web site out.given the parameters I just mentioned, you should be able to make a sound decision (pun intended).
