everyone will tell you a different company as far as who is the best. Bottom line, it's your ear, use what sounds good to you and what you can afford.

Help with car audio capacitors...?

You can spend 1000 on subs but if they are in the wrong box you just wasted you money. I've heard bottom of the line subs in just the right box and they sound great.

I can't give you a list, but I can tell you that I bought a pair of 12" Kicker Competitors in 1988 that still sound great today. I push them with a Nakamichi amp that runs about 120 clean watts per channel. I've had that since 1988, also. Yeah, I know that's not thumping, but it's what I want. Stillwater Designs makes a great speaker.

if your criteria is just about how hard the subwoofer thumps...then for me nothing will beat the Kicker Solo-X! the 12" alone costs around $900. but believe me...your ride will rock!

What do i do when my car stereo doesnt read my cds?

its true when ppl say its all about ur taste in the sound. however, i believe kicker is the best. all my friends have them and we would never go to anythign else, i have an old pair of 12s kicker in my car and they still pound. um the best sub for kicker under a thousand would be the L7, but the solo x might be under a thousand. which is about the hardest hitting sub out there. so have fun!
