Question:
All of the sudden my amp/sub is not getting power. I checked the inline fuse under the hood and the connection to the battery under the hood, and both of them are fine. Does anyone know what may be causing this? The amp is getting no power at all as far as I can tell. I am thinking that maybe the amps internal fuse has blown. How do I check this? Thanks

Double check your inline fuse.even a fine hair line can cause it not to work, I would even change it out to ensure the break isn't on a end out of view.Need help installing new audio system?
Internal fuse on amp is easy, just unscrew it and you'll plainly see it. Double check all your wires to make sure none got cut or are being pinched or even something cutting into it. That alone could ground it out.
How are your grounds? Are they good, tight, clean? Put a meter on the end of the wire going to the amp, see if it has power or not.
Worse case.you fried the amp.

maybe there's a problem on your amp.. ckeck your wires on your amp... or go to the nearest store that checks amps and subs... you might screw it if you dont have the knowledge doing it.. dont risk your sub and amp... you might buy another one when you screw itMore Questions & Answers ...
