Question:
I have a '99 Chevrolet Cavalier and the CD player in it recently quit working. It'll take the CD in, but then after trying to read it, it pushes it back out and says "ERR" on the screen. The radio works just fine and the CD player works once in a blue moon if I turn the key to left without having the car on. Does it just need to be cleaned? Or could something more serious be wrong with it? Thanks!

Mate,Cost of a GPS Navigation System in 2003 Golf?
Check the fuses specially meant for the Audio system. Coz Radio does not utilize more power but playback of CD does.
If this does not work out, check the power supply from the battery to your Player with the help of a multimeter. Take readings when you switch on the radio and then when you switch on the CD player. If there's a difference, the problem is with the connection.
There is also another chance of your player's Lenses being faulty and not responding to poor/scratched CD. For this complaint, you need to check your player with it's authorized persons.
