I have a 2002 mercury mountaineer and a six disc cd changer. its been a while since i asked around about doing a wired setup to my radio to play my ipod through it and i was wondering if it is possible to do a wired connnection to a factory six disc changer?

you cant hook it to the disc changer but it should hook easily into the back of your stereo deck with only a cord that has an RCA audio end and a headphone jack on the other end. this works best on a aftermarket sterio and not a stock stereo. I did it myself so it couldn't be that hard :)

you can buy a plug that goes from your Ipod to your cdchanger jack in the back of your radio. You won't be able to use your changer anymore but with an ipod you won't need it. You'll have a cord just hanging out from your dash. I have a shuffle and it fits nicely into my ashtray and the cord is ran to there.
