Question:
I have 2 12" Kicker Comps. I know that they are both rated at 150 Rms watts. So what if I hooked them up to a Kicker Zx750.1 amp. Would it overpower them since the Kicker amp splits into 375 watts? Right now the Comps are currently hooked up to a Soundstream Reference 500 and they hit good. Need some advice if it'll overpower the subs and damage them or what would it do to the subs. I currently have the Zx750.1 amp hooked up to 2 Alpine Type S 12" and have another Zx750.1 amp sitting in the garage.

Does anyone know which Sirius unit is compatiable with?
I think you should be ok, its distortion more than power that blows speakers. Try turning the bass down. How to find that the car speakers are original or not?
if u put it at a 4ohms load then u just b pushin bout 40w over the subs rated power wich would b badI've had Kicker Comps before, and I put about 300w rms to them, and they never blew. I think you'll be fine, remember distortion will blow a speaker way faster than wattage. Make sure that there isn't any distortion, i.e. keep the gain on the amp low, don't use bass boost.
Which frequency is best for using a Belkin radio tuned in Suffolk/East Anglia?
Distortion does not kill speakers power does! Stop spreading your lies. I could take a 50 watt amp and clip it to h*ll and send it to a 400 watt subwoofer and it would play fine just sound like crap. That seems a bit like overkill especially if your not experienced in the proper adjustment of gains. Wow just wow I cant believe some of the answers people give.I have 2 10" visonik subs 300 watts max each what type of box should i make and how big?
since they are 12s id drop down to kickers 500 amp. the 750 would be more for a set of 15s. but im sure the 750 would be fine, just better safe than sorryMore Questions & Answers ...
